BusinessTrends joins nationwide jobs fair

May 2011

On May 1, the Philippines celebrated Labor Day through providing jobs to all the Filipinos.

BusinessTrends, with its goal of reaching the unemployed market and providing jobs to the untapped talents, joined the largest recruitment fair of the year in partnership with the Philippines’ Department of Labor and Employment at the Lagoon Area of Rizal Park, Manila.

The one-day event registered 4,444 applicants in Metro Manila. Half of these are walk-in applicants while the rest are pre-registered and who applied through the Labor department’s job portal.

The company welcomed more than 500 applicants in the booth and was able to process 261 profiles. The staffs also invited the near-hire applicants to go to its offices for further interview and submission of requirements.

BusinessTrends aims to beef up its database for the continuous talent demand from its clients. Most of the profiles collected are technicians, office staffs, nurses, engineers and IT talents.

Moreover, the company is strengthening its relationship with the government through joining their initiatives in assisting Filipinos to find jobs.

As of this time, BusinessTrends is still processing applicants from the jobs fair who visit the office for further interview.
